“She is dada,” the doctor said when I was born. “I can see that.” My mother said.
When someone is born dada she has vines growing in her hair, and is rumored to have supernatural powers.
Zahrah has always had to always live with the strange, vines growing from her hair, making her the teasing and making fun of at her school. Her only friend is Dari. A easy talking likeable guy that saw how lonely she was. But when Zahrah one night gets a strange feeling-she is floating! A girl who doesn’t even like to climb trees because of the heights can fly. She has to overcome all of her fears.
It is a great book, teaching kids and teenagers to overcome their fears. Zahrah is a relatable character, a little of a cry baby, but by the end you really root for her.
Love this book great for 12-15.
